friday

It has been quite a tiring week. Although there are no tests, I feel extremely stressed up. The lecturer-tutorial system doesn't suit me well, yet I got to get used to it a.s.a.p.

Much of this stress I must say can be attributed to my PW. Well some people are just not feeling the sense of urgency. As the project manager I have the responsibility to command and lead the group and ensure that we are on task. The deadline for the GPP was today. We had our PW lesson on Tuesday. We had our 1st draft returned and it just laid there without anyone touching. So on Tuesday we had a chance to seat down and discuss what to do. Yet some of them looks so nonchalant as if they have nothing in the project. I had to engage them into some conversation before they decided to open their golden mouth. Yeah I got it going i thought. Then I decided to allocate jobs for them to this for the week since certain people couldn't come online cause he/she doesn't have a pc at home. Well since coming up with survey questions doesn't need much discussion or the use or IT, I allocated the job to him/her and the rest were to come online on Wednesday for a discussion since deadline was Friday, we had to discuss before we write and edit again.

On Wednesday, he/she came up with 12 solid survey questions. Kudos to you mate. However when asked to review the questions, the rest seemed very uninterested and impatient in it and seemed to just chuck it aside. Well nevermind. I was hoping that they would be more than happy to do do the discussion on msn. How wrong was I? I decided to sms both of them at around 6pm. Both took ages to reply. 1 was sleeping. 1 was doing something I supposed. Lets name them W and N respectively.

N replied that there are alot of homework and she may not be able to online. What kinda excuse is this? We are in the same class and when other people can online, why can't you? Furthermore when I went online at 8pm, she was there, and bloody said that she had something to do and just went offline. W was much better. We were able to come up with some points of discussion after the whole thing although he needed alot of prompting. However our email was not yet drafted because both were offline by, 845pm. =.=

So I asked them to draft the email on one of the breaks on Thursday. Again, their attidtude was like, ' What? NOT AGAIN!' . They both decided to waste 15minutes to change and something before deciding to get their asses down to the canteen. They had the punch-me-in-my-face look on them. DAMN IT. ARGH. And later that night no one was online again, hence i had to edit the group project proposal myself. Yeah great. No sense of urgency. Well maybe they put PW at the lowest of their priority, but I don't want to jeopardise my chance of scoring well in PW by doing such sloppy work. Hope this changes soon. If not, it will be one man show again.

After 2 years of partnership in kranji with JunQin, Zwen, Bc and co, it is hard to work with such people that are the least interested in getting the job done. Well at least they are willing to work with you through the nite. =)

On the lighter key I have been enjoying my time at the Media Club. We 3 as in me, Zhen Wen and Cheewai were all in the same department. Archiving. It seems like this is the most dreaded job to the members but I find it interesting. Haha. Also I finally played soccer yesterday after PE with some of my classmates. The first time I touched a soccer ball for about 2months.

For other subjects. I have really mixed feelings because I do not know where I stand. Mr Lum's physics tutorial is practically copying his answers and I'm not sure if I'm able to do it. Well time to get going! For chemistry it should be alright for me now. Except my SPA, which I have aced my report writing but not the calculations. Should learn to work faster. But, it is just next Tuesday. I have not more practice. Can I make it? Hopefully. And there is also a physics lecture test next wednesday and a maths departmental test after school on Tuesday. I make sure i mug for it!

Thats about it. Arent exactly in the best of moods. Cya all and take care!
